Meanwhile, Rano (28), an eye witness said that when he heard the cry for help, without thinking, he and several other residents immediately went to the house that was the victim of the fire.
"With limited water, I and several other residents struggled to extinguish the fire," said Rano.
The place is rather narrow making it difficult for residents to extinguish the fire.
20 minutes later, the fire department came and put out the fire.
"Incidentally, the walls are made of plywood so the fire quickly spreads across the walls of the house," he said again.
As a result of this incident, there were no fatalities, only the owner of the house, Merry, suffered burns on his right arm.
Temporary allegations that the fire occurred because of an electrical short circuit.
Observation of Tribun Batam.id in the field, it was seen that two houses that were burned were quite badly damaged.
