Batam Adds 25 Positive Cases of Coronavirus, Mostly Private Employees

TRIBUNBATAM.id, BATAM - Batam City added 25 positive patients for the coronavirus.

The addition of these positive cases of Covid-19 came from the data of Batam City Covid-19 Task Force on Saturday (11/14/2020). 

Of these, 12 were male, and 13 were female.

The addition of 25 new cases adds to the list of Covid-19 cases in Batam to 3,431 cases. 

Of the additions, most of them were people without symptoms, namely 14 people, 10 suspects, and 1 Probable. 

The patients came from different professional backgrounds, such as private employees, totaling 16 people. 

Then, 3 entrepreneurs, 2 housewives, 1 pre-school, 1 health worker, 1 student, and 1 teacher.

While 11 patients were treated at the Galang Covid-19 Hospital, 1 patient at Budi Kemuliaan Hospital, 5 patients at Elisabeth Lubuk Baja Hospital, 3 patients at Awal Bros Hospital, 2 patients at RSBP Batam, 1 patient at Bhayangkara Hospital, and 2 patients at Bapelkes Batam. 

These findings suggest that there is still the possibility of new cases from existing clusters, or new findings in Batam City.

Head of the Batam City Covid-19 Task Force Health Sector, Dr. Didi Kusmarjadi continues to urge the public to follow Government recommendations in implementing health protocols. 

"Always keep your distance, wear a mask, wash your hands with soap and running water, stay at home, eat nutritious food, and exercise," said Didi in a statement received by TribunBatam.id, Sunday (11/15/2020).
