TRIBUNBATAM.id, BATAM - Positive Covid-19 patients continue to increase in Batam City. Ironically, many people still ignore health protocols.
Responding to this, the ad-interim Mayor of Batam, Syamsul Bahrum admitted that his party saw that there was indeed a decrease in discipline towards Perwako number 49 in 2020.
Now, when viewed in a crowded center such as a market, many people have ignored the regulations.
"When they talked, they were no longer wearing masks, even though, the main spread was through droplets. Our team had intervened and gave warnings, but there were no results," he said, Saturday (11/14/2020).
He emphasized that until now the task force team is still working optimally and optimizing the time to curb violators of this health protocol.
He asked for the awareness of all parties, so that Batam could immediately get out of this virus cycle.
But unfortunately, his party could not provide strict sanctions such as imprisonment or fines. This is because the rules are only limited to the Mayor's Regulations.

As in today's case, medical personnel are again exposed to Covid-19. Based on the latest data, currently the number of medical personnel who have been confirmed positive is 202 people. Medical personnel are the most vulnerable group because they deal directly with Covid-19 patients.
He admitted, this virus hadn't been successfully controlled. One of the main factors is the mask, the second is the decrease in the body's immune power. Medical personnel have a very busy time dealing with patients, so the virus can easily attack the body.
The addition of cases is quite varied, as was the case today, Saturday (11/14/2020), as many as 88 people were declared exposed to Covid-19. There were 43 symptomatic patients, and 38 patients with asymptomatic.
Based on the sweeping, 7 of them were close contacts with previous patients. Meanwhile, only 20 positive patients.
