UPDATE December 18: There are 98,688 Covid-19 Active Cases in Indonesia

TRIBUNBATAM.id -  The number of active cases of Covid-19 in Indonesia, on Friday (18/12/2020), reached 15.2 percent. Of the total 650,197 cases of Covid-19, 98,688 of them are active cases. 

Active cases are patients who test positive for Covid-19 and are undergoing treatment, either in hospital or in independent isolation. 

This number was obtained by reducing the total positive cases of Covid-19 with the cure and death rate. 

This information was conveyed by the Covid-19 Handling Task Force through a document broadcast to journalists on Friday afternoon. Data can also be accessed via the covid19.go.id site.

Based on the data, there are 650,197 cases of Covid-19 in Indonesia cumulatively today.

This figure was obtained after the addition of 6,689 positive cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours. 

Then, Covid-19 patients who have been declared cured now increased by 5,016 people, bringing the number to 531,995 people. 

Meanwhile, there were an additional 124 cases of death due to Covid-19. So, Covid-19 patients died to 19,514 people. 

Currently there are 62,717 suspected cases of Covid-19. In addition, in the last 24 hours, the government examined 67,678 Covid-19 specimens from 38,514 people. 

The Covid-19 case now spread in 510 districts/cities in 34 provinces. (*)
