UPDATE December 25: 7.259 New Covid-19 Cases, the Highest DKI Jakarta with 2,096 Cases

TRIBUNBATAM.id - The number of patients infected with Covid-19 in Indonesia has increased by 7,259 from Thursday, (12/24/2020) to Friday (12/25/2020).

The addition of these patients has caused Covid-19 cases in Indonesia to now reach 700,097 people.

This information was revealed by the Covid-19 Handling Task Force in data submitted to journalists on Friday afternoon. 

The new cases of patients with positive confirmation of Covid-19 are spread across 34 provinces. From that data, there were five provinces with the highest addition of new cases.

The five provinces are DKI Jakarta (2,096 new cases), Central Java (911 new cases), West Java (903 new cases), East Java (822 new cases), South Sulawesi (411 new cases).

Meanwhile, the overall transmission of Covid-19 has so far occurred in 510 districts / cities in 34 provinces. 

The government also noted that there were an additional 6,324 patients who had been declared cured.

Thus, the total number of patients recovered from Covid-19 is 570,304 people.

In addition, there are an additional 258 patients who died after being tested positive for the corona virus.

Thus, the number of patients who have died due to Covid-19 is currently 20,847.
