Covid-19 Trend in Batam began to Slope, Kadinkes Reminds Residents to Remain Vigilant

TRIBUNBATAM.id, BATAM - The Covid-19 trend in Batam is starting to slope, Batam Kadinkes, Didi Kusmarjadi reminded residents to remain vigilant. 

Entering the end of 2020, new cases of Covid-19 in Batam began to slope.

According to the Head of the Batam City Health Service (Kadinkes), Didi Kusmarjadi, the decline in the number of positive patients with Covid-19 began to occur since early December 2020.

"There were no new cases found at that time," said Didi in response to Tribunbatam.id questions, Wednesday (30/12/2020). 

In fact, he continued, a significant decrease occurred in the fourth week of December 2020.

There are only 72 new cases of Covid-19, based on data from the Batam Covid-19 Task Force.

Even so, Didi still appealed to all Batam residents to remain vigilant against the transmission of the virus.

Namely, by still paying attention to health protocols during activities.  

Remembering, the moment of year-end celebration is just days away.  

To date, the Batam Covid-19 Task Force has released a total of 4,951 patients who were confirmed positive for Covid-19 in Batam City. 

4,430 of them recovered successfully and 130 patients died.

While the rest, as many as 391 people are currently undergoing treatment at several referral hospitals.
