This explanation was conveyed by the Head of the Riau Islands Province Health Service (Kadinkes), Muhammad Bisri, after receiving the arrival of the 2nd batch of Corona Vaccines at RHF Tanjungpinang Airport, Thursday (7/1/2021) afternoon.
"The delivery of vaccines to the public is estimated in April. However, until now we do not know when it will be distributed from the center and we can only wait," he said.
Bisri emphasized that, later on, the people of Riau Islands are required to receive the Corona vaccine. As instructed by the President of the Republic of Indonesia (RI), Joko Widodo.
"The public cannot refuse. The President has said that vaccination is obligatory," Bisri explained.
The provision of corona vaccines to the Indonesian people, he continued, has been legitimate by the applicable regulations.
"The law already regulates that. Namely, the law on infectious disease outbreaks. So, there is no more halal or haram matter, the views and opinions of the MUI have been also resolved regarding that," he reiterated.
