Covid-19 Vaccination has Started, Jokowi Reminded People to Stay Discipline of Health Protocols

With the commencement of vaccinations, President Joko Widodo continues to remind the public to be disciplined in implementing virus prevention health.

TRIBUNBATAM.id -  Coronavirus vaccination in Indonesia begins on Wednesday (13/1/2021) today.

With the commencement of vaccinations, President Joko Widodo continues to remind the public to be disciplined in implementing virus prevention health protocols

"I want to remind you of the importance of discipline on health protocols," said Jokowi at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, Wednesday.

"We must continue to do this, wear masks, wash our hands, keep our distance, and avoid crowds," he said. 

Jokowi said that vaccination is important to break the chain of transmission of the coronavirus.

Apart from providing protection for public health, vaccination is also expected to help accelerate economic recovery. 

The Covid-19 vaccine used has been confirmed safe, because it has received an emergency use authorization (EUA) from the Food and Drug Supervisory Agency (BPOM). 

In addition, vaccines have been declared halal by the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI).

"We express our deepest gratitude," said Jokowi

He said, after the initial vaccination that was held this morning, vaccination would be continued to communities throughout Indonesia
