TRIBUNBATAM.id - An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.0 shook Gunungkidul Regency, Yogyakarta, Wednesday (20/1/2021) in the morning at 3.10 WIB.
Based on data from the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency, the epicenter was 116 kilometers southwest of Gunungkidul, to be precise at 9.04 south latitude and 110.51 east longitude.

"The earthquake has no potential for a tsunami," added BMKG.
However, BMKG reminded the public of the potential for aftershocks that might occur.
There have been no reports of casualties and damage caused by the earthquake. (*)
