UPDATE January 20: Active Covid-19 Cases in Indonesia Reached 149,388

TRIBUNBATAM.id -  The Covid-19 case in Indonesia hasn't shown any signs of decreasing until the 10 months of the pandemic taking place. 

Based on data from the Covid-19 Handling Task Force, Wednesday (20/1/2021) at 12.00 WIB, there were 149,388 active cases of Covid-19 or 15.9 percent of the total confirmed cases. 

The number of active cases is currently higher, when compared to data on Tuesday (19/1/2021), namely 146,842 cases. 

Active cases are positive patients with Covid-19 who are undergoing treatment in hospital or independent isolation. 

The number comes from a reduction in the total number of patients infected with Covid-19 to the total number of patients who have recovered and died.

Data from the Task Force shows that the total Covid-19 cases in Indonesia currently reach 939,948.

This number was obtained after there were additional 12,568 cases a day.

Then, the total number of cured cases reached 763,703 after increasing 9,755 people.

The increase in the daily recovery rate is the highest since the Covid-19 pandemic first appeared in Indonesia on March 2, 2020. 

The number of Covid-19 patients who died reached 26,857. There were an additional 267 deaths recorded in a day. 

Currently, Covid-19 has affected 510 districts/cities in 34 provinces. (*)
