TRIBUNBATAM.id - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) said that no area is safe as long as there are countries that aren't free from Covid-19. He also encouraged countries in the world to work together.
Jokowi conveyed this when he opened the International Conference on Tackling the Covid-19 Pandemic which was held online.
"We must strengthen cooperation within each country and also our cooperation with countries in the world. The spirit of cooperation needs to be emphasized because no one is safe until everyone is," Jokowi said, as broadcast on the Presidential Secretariat YouTube channel, Tuesday (23/2/2021).
However, he reminded the importance of cooperation in strengthening these efforts.
Jokowi claims that Indonesia is safe regarding Covid-19 vaccine stocks.
Indonesia has agreed to purchase vaccines from several international companies.
Until yesterday, Monday (22/2/2021), the total number of positive cases of Covid-19 was 1,288,833 people.
Of these, 1,096,994 people have been declared recovered and 34,691 others have died. (*)
