Update: Add 6.570, Covid-19 Cases in Indonesia Now Reaches 1.443.853 People

TRIBUNBATAM.id - The Covid-19 pandemic has hit Indonesia for a year, but the government is still finding additional cases of Covid-19 per day.

Data from the Covid-19 Handling Task Force until Thursday (18/3/2021) shows there have been an additional 6,570 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.

The addition has caused the total number of Covid-19 cases in Indonesia to now reach 1,443,853 people, as of the announcement of the first patient on March 2, 2020. 

This information was conveyed by the Covid-19 Handling Task Force through data received by journalists on Thursday afternoon. 

Data can also be accessed by the public via Covid19.go.id. 

The same data shows that there are additional patients recovering from Covid-19. Within a day, the number increased by 6,285 people.

Thus, the number of Covid-19 patients who have recovered in Indonesia to date has reached 1,272,958 people.

However, the number of patients who died after being exposed to Covid-19 also continues to grow. 

In the period of 17-18 March 2021, 227 Covid-19 patients died.

Thus, the death rate due to Covid-19 reached 39,142 people since the beginning of the pandemic.

With this data, currently there are 131,753 active cases of Covid-19. 

In addition, the government also noted that there are now 59,666 people with suspected Covid-19 status. (*)
