TRIBUNBATAM.id - The Research Center for Geological Disaster Technology Development (BPPTKG) noted that Mount Merapi released two hot clouds of avalanche and five times of incandescent lava, Thursday, (4/1/2021).
"Hot clouds of avalanches occurred today, April 1, 2021 at 12.36 WIB on a seismogram with an amplitude of 40 mm, duration of 128 seconds," said the Head of BPPTKG, Hanik Humaida, through a daily report.
Meanwhile, hot clouds of avalanches at 13.36 WIB were recorded on a seismogram with an amplitude of 40 mm and a duration of 58 seconds with a glide distance of approximately 600 meters.
In this report, the BPPTKG noted that the sliding distance of this hot avalanche cloud was heading to the southwest as far as 1,500 meters.

While the weather around the peak of Mount Merapi is predominantly foggy.
"The weather is sunny and cloudy. The wind is blowing weakly towards the Southeast. The temperature is 20-28 degrees Celsius, humidity is 59-75 percent, and air pressure is about 833-943 mmHg," she said.
She added that the incandescent lava was sliding 1,000 meters to the southwest. (*)
