UPDATE May 9: Increased by 3.922 People, Covid-19 Cases in Indonesia Reached 1.713.684

TRIBUNBATAM.id -  The Covid-19 pandemic hasn't ended yet in Indonesia. This can be seen from the daily Covid-19 cases, the death rate, and recovery rate which continues to increase.  

Data from the Covid-19 Handling Task Force until Sunday, (9/5/2021) at 12.00 WIB showed that there were an additional 3,922 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours. 

The addition has caused the total number of Covid-19 cases in Indonesia to currently reach 1,713,684 people. 

This information was conveyed by the Covid-19 Handling Task Force to reporters on Sunday afternoon. 

The same data shows that there are additional patients recovering due to Covid-19.

Within a day, the number increased by 4,360 people. Thus, the number of Covid-19 patients who have recovered in Indonesia to date has reached 1,568,277 people. 

However, the number of patients who died after being exposed to Covid-19 also continues to grow. In the period of 8-9 May 2021, 170 Covid-19 patients died. 

Thus, the death rate due to Covid-19 reached 47,012 people since the beginning of the pandemic.

With this data, currently, there are 98,395 active cases of Covid-19. 

Active cases are patients who are still confirmed positive for the coronavirus, and are undergoing treatment in hospitals or independent isolation.  (*)
