Covid-19 in Bintan Increases 40 Cases a Day, 6 of which are Toddlers

TRIBUNBATAM.id, BINTAN -  There are 40 active cases of Covid-19 in Bintan a day.

This can be seen based on data from the Covid-19 Handling Task Force in Bintan until Tuesday (5/11/2021).

Of these cases, 6 of them were toddlers aged 1 to 5 years. 

The head of the Bintan Health Department, Dr. Gama AF Isnaeni, said that on average, 40 residents who were exposed to the coronavirus in Bintan today are residents of North Bintan District and Seri Kuala Lobam District.

"Most of the patients who were exposed were in North Bintan District," he said. 

With the addition of a very significant case, Gama reminded Bintan residents to remain disciplined in adhering to health protocols by always wearing masks, washing hands, and avoiding public crowds. 

According to him, the most effective way to break the chain of spreading Covid-19 is to discipline in applying health protocols in everyday life. 

With the addition of new cases today, Gama said, the total number of positive cases currently amounts to 1,126 cases accumulatively. 

In details, 27 cases died due to Covid-19. 

Then, 172 active cases and 927 corona patients recovered.
