The latest data from the Bintan Health Department revealed that six children were positively exposed to Covid-19.
Their average age is between one and 5 years, as well as residents in a number of sub-districts including North Bintan District, Teluk Bintan District and Gunung Kijang District.
The details are a 1-year-old boy with the initials DA and a 4-year-old girl with the initials GL in North Bintan District.
Then, a boy with the initials HBH, a resident of Teluk Bintan District.
Then a 2-year-old boy with the initials JL, a resident of Gunung Kijang District.
The boy with the initials MS is a resident of North Bintan District.
Then, a girl with the initials MBL who is still 5 years old is a resident of Toapaya District.
"The six children who were exposed to the coronavirus were in close contact with Covid-19 patients," said the head of the Bintan Health Department, Dr. Gama AF Isnaeni, Friday (6/18).
He added, the six children who were positive for Covid-19 in Bintan were part of the addition of 64 new cases until June 18, 2021.
Gama also explained that the 64 new cases that were added today were spread across several sub-districts in Bintan.
"The Districts of Bintan Pesisir, Teluk Bintan, North Bintan, Seri Kuala Lobam, East Bintan, Toapaya and Gunung Kijang," he said.
He didn't deny that the Covid-19 case in Bintan was still increasing every day.
In fact, Bintan Regency is now in the Covid-19 red zone status.
With the addition of this case, until now, the Covid-19 case in Bintan has reached 2,124 cases.
