Data compiled by the government as of Wednesday (8/11/2021) at 12.00 WIB shows that there have been 30,625 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.
This addition causes the total number of Covid-19 cases in Indonesia to currently reach 3,749,446 cases, as of the first case announced by President Joko Widodo on March 2, 2020.
This information was conveyed directly by the Covid-19 Handling Task Force to reporters on Wednesday afternoon.
The same data also shows that an additional 39,931 patients recovered from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.
Thus, the number of recovered Covid-19 patients in Indonesia currently reaches 3,211,078 people.
However, the number of patients who died after being exposed to Covid-19 also continued to grow. In the period 10-11 August, there were 1,579 Covid-19 patients who died.
With this data, there are currently 426,170 active cases of Covid-19 in Indonesia.
Active cases are patients who are still confirmed positive for Covid-19, and are undergoing treatment in a hospital or self-isolation.
Furthermore, there are 510 districts/cities exposed to Covid-19 in 34 provinces in Indonesia. (*)
