Quarantine-free applies throughout Indonesia, Overseas Travelers Only Need to do a PCR Test
Overseas travelers or called PPLN who arrive in Indonesia no longer need to undergo quarantine. This applies to arrivals at all airports in Indonesia.
TRIBUNBATAM.id - Overseas travelers or called PPLN who arrive in Indonesia no longer need to undergo quarantine. This applies to arrivals at all airports in Indonesia.
This announcement was delivered directly by President Joko Widodo, Wednesday (3/23/2022).
"PPLNs arriving through airports throughout Indonesia no longer need to go through the quarantine process," President Jokowi said in an online press statement regarding the PPLN policy and the Guidelines for Health Protocols for Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr, Wednesday.
However, overseas travelers are required to do an RT-PCR swab test first when they arrive at the arrival gate.
If the result of the RT-PCR test is negative, PPLN will be invited to leave the airport and continue their activities in Indonesia.

Meanwhile, if the test result is positive, the PPLN will be handled directly by the Covid-19 Task Force, according to the established procedure.
This step was taken by the government after considering the improving conditions of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country.
On that basis, the government decided to take a number of easing measures, including a quarantine-free policy for overseas travelers or PPLN.
"Hopefully we can maintain this improving trend. I ask, all of us to continue to implement the health protocols," said the former mayor of Solo, Central Java.
