TRIBUNBATAM.id - The government has again renewed the easing of rules for overseas travelers or called PPLN through the Covid-19 Task Force Circular (SE) Number 17 of 2022, starting on Tuesday (4/5/2022).

One of them is related to the free PCR test for PPLN upon arrival at the entrance to Indonesia

"PPLNs detected have no symptoms related to Covid-19 and have a body temperature below 37.5 degrees Celsius, can continue their trip," reads one of the points in the SE.

The provisions above apply to PPLNs who have been vaccinated against the second dose, or the third dose (booster), at least 14 days before departure.

Free PCR test requirements upon arrival in Indonesia for PPLN

This policy of not requiring PCR tests upon arrival from abroad is followed by a number of rules, as follows:

- PPLN was detected to have no symptoms of Covid-19, with a body temperature below 37.5 degrees Celsius, during inspection at the entrance.

- Shows a negative result of the RT-PCR test in the country or region of origin whose samples were taken within a maximum period of 2 x 24 hours before departure, and attached to the health check.

- Download the PeduliLindung application before departure.

- Show a card or certificate, both digital and physical, having received the second dose of Covid-19 vaccine at least 14 days before departure.

- PPLN holders of diplomatic visas and service visas related to official/state visits of foreign officials at ministerial level and above, as well as foreigners using the Travel Corridor Arrangement (TCA) scheme, are excluded from the obligation to show vaccine certificates.

- PPLN who have not been able to get vaccinated, or have been vaccinated with the first dose at least 14 days before departure, must quarantine for 5 x 24 hours.

- PPLN who have received the second or third dose of vaccine at least 14 days before departure, are allowed to continue the trip.

- PPLN is under 18 years of age and/or requires special protection, then the quarantine rules follow the provisions applied to their parents or caregivers/travel companions.

- PPLNs with special health conditions or comorbid diseases that cause travellers to have not and/or are unable to take part in the Covid-19 vaccination, are allowed to continue the trip by being obliged to attach a doctor's certificate from the Government Hospital of the country of departure stating that the person concerned has not and/or not can follow the Covid-19 vaccination.

The free PCR test policy upon arrival is exempted for PPLN who are detected to have symptoms related to Covid-19, with a body temperature above 37.5 degrees Celsius.

If this happens, the PPLN must re-examine the PCR test, with the costs being borne by the government for Indonesian citizens (WNI), and the costs being borne independently for foreign nationals (WNA).
