TRIBUNBATAM.id - The government through the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf) and the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) encourage foreign airlines to increase the number of flights to Indonesia.
The foreign airlines that are prioritized to increase the number of flights come from five countries that contribute a lot to foreign tourist arrivals to Bali, namely the United States, Australia, England, France, and Singapore.
Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Uno said, the increase in the number of flights was aimed at reducing flight ticket prices to make them more affordable for the public.
Sandiaga is optimistic about achieving 3.6 million foreign tourist visits
On the other hand, Sandiaga is optimistic that he can increase the competitiveness of Indonesian tourism with competing countries, and achieve the target of foreign tourists visiting.
"We hope it will further stimulate the economy and the target of 1.8 million to 3.6 million (tourist visits), hopefully it can be achieved," he said.
Therefore, he said, his party will continue to carry out a series of promotional programs with the theme of integrated cooperation, such as ATM (Arabian Travel Market) Dubai, SATTE (South Asia Travel and Tourism Expo) 2022, and visits to markets that are considered potential, namely the five previously mentioned countries.
