TRIBUNBATAM.id - Teluk Hijau Beach is one of the hidden paradises in Banyuwangi Regency.

This beach is still natural and access to the location is quite challenging.

Teluk Hijau Beach is also often called Green Bay.

The location is in the Meru Betiri National Park (TN) area.

The Section for Controlling the Intermediate Forest Ecosystem of Meru Betiri National Park, Nur Rohmah said, the attraction of Teluk Hijau Beach is the green sea water, as the name implies.

This phenomenon is certainly different from sea water in general which is blue.

The green color comes from algae at the bottom of the waters so that it reflects the green color to the sea surface.

This Green Bay has white sand, so it contrasts with the green sea water.

The panorama is the uniqueness of this beach.

Unfortunately, Nur Rohmah said, tourists visiting Teluk Hijau Beach are prohibited from swimming.

This is because Teluk Hijau Beach is located in the Indonesian Ocean area, or the south coast which is famous for its big waves.

This condition is similar to other beaches in Meru Betiri National Park, namely Rajegwesi Beach and Sukamade Beach.

However, tourists can still snorkel on the beach to enjoy the underwater panorama.

Visitors are advised to always be careful and alert during snorkeling activities.

In addition to the green sea water, the other attraction of Teluk Hijau Beach is the coral rocks and natural trees that surround the beach area.
