Lotus Pond at Bali's GWK, The Location of Dinner for the G20 Summit Delegates
The Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park (GWK) in South Kuta, Bali, will be one of the locations for the G20 Summit series of activities
TRIBUNBATAM.id, BALI - The Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park (GWK) in South Kuta, Bali, will be one of the locations for the G20 Summit series of activities.
President Joko Widodo and the heads of the delegation of G20 members are scheduled to attend dinner at Lotus Pond, the largest landmark at GWK.
For this reason, Lotus Pond is not open to the public because it is being prepared for the banquet.
"We have prepared the feasibility, beauty, and tidiness that are indeed required to make this G20 event perfect," said Director of Operations for G2K Cultural Park, Stefanus Yonathan Astayasa.
GWK was chosen as the location for the G20 dinner for several reasons.

One of the reason is because of the uniqueness of the place.
The organizing team had actually proposed several preferred destinations to Jokowi, but the former Governor of DKI Jakarta chose GWK.

Quoted from the official GWK Bali website, Lotus Pond is one of the main venues at the GWK Cultural Park.
This area is a wide square between limestone walls and is crowned with a magnificent statue of Garuda.
Lotus Pond can accommodate up to 7,500 people and is equipped with good acoustics, making it popular as a location for concerts and other world-class events.
As the name suggests, the lotus flower represents beauty, prosperity and fertility, which is always carried in the hands of Lord Vishnu.
Even though the roots of the flower are buried under the mud, the lotus still grows into a beautiful and graceful flower, and is a symbol of humanity and the cosmos.
