The Bali's Garuda Wisnu Kencana Statue, a Tourism Icon Exhibited by Jokowi at the G20 Summit

TRIBUNBATAM.id, BALI - The series of G20 Summits that were held in Bali are still ongoing.
President Joko Widodo and First Lady, Iriana Jokowi also had time to entertain state officials who were present for dinner at the Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK) Park area, Badung Bali, last night, Tuesday (15/11).
During the dinner, Jokowi introduced the Garuda Wisnu Kencana statue to the guests.
This giant statue which has become one of Bali's icons, said Jokowi, has quite a deep meaning.
According to Jokowi, the meaning of the GWK statue is in line with the duties borne by leaders towards the world and humanity.
This is in accordance with the mythology believed by the Balinese people.
"In Balinese mythology, this statue depicts love, responsibility, courage and devotion. This is our duty to the world and humanity," Jokowi said.

When the banquet took place, Jokowi and Iriana compactly wore regal attire, which is traditional Balinese clothing.
The Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK) statue itself is located in the GWK Cultural Park area, Ungasan Hill, Badung Regency, Bali.
The statue has now become a tourist attraction that must be visited by tourists when visiting Bali.
This statue was inaugurated in September 2018.
This statue by I Nyoman Nuarta also continues to attract the attention of tourists, both local and foreign.
Entrance ticket to the GWK Cultural Park area, adult visitors are charged a rate of IDR 125 thousand.
Meanwhile, children and the elderly are charged IDR 100,000.
