Raja Ampat Papua is Included in Lonely Planet's Best In Travel 2023

TRIBUNBATAM.id - Raja Ampat, West Papua is included in the list of the 30 best tourist attractions to visit in 2023 or Best in Travel 2023 version of the Lonely Planet travel site, Tuesday (11/15/2022)

Raja Ampat is rated as one of the best destinations to unwind or rest.

This destination is also known for its coral reefs, diving spots and beaches. 

One of the recommended ways to enjoy Raja Ampat's attractions is by liveaboarding. 

Liveaboard or live on board (LOB) is a way to enjoy marine tourism by staying on board.  

Tourists will be taken around to snorkeling spots using phinisi boats, as well as staying for several days in the middle of the sea. 

Raja Ampat is also considered to be an alternative tourist destination if you want an anti-mainstream tour.

There are several activities that can be done in Raja Ampat, such as snorkeling in Misool, seeing species of birds of paradise on Waigeo and Gam Islands, visiting Arborek Village, and climbing Piaynemo Hill. 

Lonely Planet's list of the 30 best tourist attractions to visit in 2023

Unlike the previous edition, this time, Lonely Planet compiled a list of the best tourist attractions to visit in 2023 based on five categories, namely culinary (Eat), adventure (Journey), places to rest (Unwind), places to get closer to culture and community (Connect) , as well as a place to learn new experiences (Learn). 

The travel site surveyed more than 200 contributors worldwide to create a list, which was then evaluated by experts in tourism and travel media. This process started in April 2022.
