Welcoming the Arrival of the Thousands Workers, Only 1 Gate Is Opened In Batam DPRD Building

TRIBUNBATAM.id, BATAM -  Awaiting the arrival of the mass demonstration, a number of police officers have been standing guard in front of the Batam City DPRD Office.

Their preparation begins with a refresher and some direction.

"It was just a refresher," said a police officer after disbanded on Wednesday (10/2/2019) at around 8:45 WIB. 

Tribunbatam reporters observed that the Batam City DPRD Office fence was only one gate that open.

Precisely in front of the Batam Mayor's Office.

There were also seen a number of street vendors (Pedagang Kaki Lima) lined up in front of the Batam City DPRD Office to the side of the Masjid Raya Batam area. 

Totally Traffic jam

The Barelang Police Traffic Unit conducts the traffic engineering to overcome the traffic congestion on the Batuaji-Batam Center because the route is controlled by thousands of workers who will hold a demonstration today.

Thousands of workers filled the streets and even caused the flow of vehicles from Batuaji to Batam Center to be totally paralyzed. 

The police from the Barelang Police Unit then tried to divert the flow of the traffic.

Traffic flow from Batam Center to Batuaji was divided in two.

Namely, one lane for vehicles coming from Batuaji while another lane is used for vehicles coming from the direction of Batam Center.

Vehicle flows from Batuaji had to be moved to the vehicle flow lane from Batam Center because the lane from Batuaji was totally paralyzed, because the workers stopped in the middle of the road.
