UMP in 34 Provinces Increases 8.51 Percent in 2020, Here are the Complete Lists

TRIBUNBATAM.id - The Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker) decided to raise the Provincial Minimum Wage (Upah Minimum Provinsi) in 2020 by 8.51 percent.

In the Circular of the Minister of Manpower Number B-m / 308 / HI.01.00 / X / 2019, dated October 15, 2019, concerning Submission of National Inflation Rate and Gross Domestic Product Growth in 2019, the 8.51 percent increase applies to all provinces of the Republic of Indonesia.

The circular also stated that the 8.51 percent figure was based on data on national inflation and national economic growth in 2019. 

Data from the Central Statistics Department (BPS) said that national inflation was 3.39 percent and national economic growth (GDP) was 5.12 percent.

"Thus, the increase in the UMP and / or UMK 2020 based on data from the National Inflation and National Economic Growth is 8.51 percent," wrote a Circular Minister of Manpower, quoted by Kompas.com, Friday (10/18/2019). 

Based on the percentage increase in 34 provinces, Kompas.com tried to calculate the estimated increase in the UMP in 2020 by adding an 8.51 percent increase based on the Circular of the Minister of Manpower.

These following are the increase in UMPs from provinces with the highest to the smallest UMP revenues: 

DKI Jakarta from Rp 3,940,973 in 2019 to around Rp 4,276,349 in 2020.

Papua from Rp 3,240,900 in 2019 to around Rp 3,516,700 in 2020.

North Sulawesi from Rp 3,051,076 in 2019 to around Rp 3,310,722 in 2020.
