TRIBUNBATAM.id - After successfully increasing revenue from the tax sector through installation of Tapping Box, Batam City Government will now re-innovate.

Namely by utilizing wireless technology will be in the process of regional tax supervision.

Especially income from restaurant tax and other culinary businesses.

This is specifically for restaurants or culinary, "said Head of Batam City Tax and Retribution Management Agency (BPPRD), Raja Azmansyah at Batam Center, Thursday (10/24/2019).

Since 2017 Batam City Government through BPPRD has implemented the installation of tapping boxes in business premises that contribute four types of local taxes.

Namely hotel taxes, restaurants, entertainment and special parking taxes.

In the first year, around 60 tapping boxes were installed.

Until the end of 2018, 400 tapping boxes have been installed.

Also as of 31 August 2019, there were 519 taps installed in 483 taxpayers.

Consisting of 85 tapping boxes in 84 hotels.

Then 364 tapping boxes in 329 restaurants, culinary places, and coffee shops.

Furthermore 59 entertainment venues such as KTV, massage, pub, discotheque.

Also 11 special parking lots, at airports, malls and hospitals.

"For the end of this year we have sent a letter to the bank to add more. So it is still waiting, "he said.

The installation of tapping boxes in the taxpayers is carried out by Batam City Government in collaboration with banks as equipment providers.

Therefore, in the provision of equipment also depends on the bank.
