TRIBUNBATAM.id - Sagulung Port Road, Tanjunguncang Village, Batuaji District, has been flooded.

This is due to rampant shift of land functions in the location.

The road to Sagulung port, precisely at the main entrance of Latrade Industrial Park Tanjunguncang area, has been flooded since the land on left side of road has changed from a water recipe to a shopping and business complex.

Yanto, a resident of Sungai Binti village, said that initially the road to the port of Sagulung was never flooded.

According to him, land alongside the road to the port was originally a water catchment and settlement.

"But now it has become a business complex, so there is no more water absorption, so the road continues to flood," said Yanto.

Regarding this, Batuaji Ridwan Sub-District Chief said his side had coordinated with Department of Highways.

Based on Ridwan, flooding on the road to the port due to absence of drainage channels.

"The drainage channel is not appropriate, so we hope that it can be repaired next year," said Ridwan. (Tribunbatam.id/Ian Sitanggang)
