Utilizing technology is indeed the most beneficial thing considering its development is also quite rapid.
However, to carry out business in the digital age, many challenges must be faced in order to run smoothly.
G2 Academy CEO, Ferry Sutanto said, there are three things that become challenges that are often encountered in digital business.
First, no background in Information Technology (IT).
Ferry said, when he wanted to have a digital business such as startups and the like, it was necessary to have an educational background in technology or IT, or at least understand the basic science of technology.
"IT is a human capital business, meaning that it can't be seen because it plays like a machine. If you don't have basic and don't understand technology it will be difficult. If you want to do business in IT, at least look for a little knowledge about technology," he said in Jakarta, Tuesday (18/2 / 2020).
Second, the orientation segment. Ferry said, for example, people in the US were oriented to ways to make business grow, while people in Indonesia were profit oriented.

"It's hard if it's like this, if for example Twitter was born in Indonesia, it certainly won't develop as it's now, because when launching, the initial thought is how to make Twitter work, even though the most important thing is how Twitter can develop more rapidly and is known by many people," he explained.
Third, look for human resources (HR). In running a business, it is necessary to recruit people so that the business can grow.
However, according to Ferry, it is very difficult to find people or HR who are suitable, right and in accordance with the business being undertaken.
"For example when everything has been obtained and already has a background in the IT field, the orientation is also in line, but recruiting people is a difficult thing. Looking for HR in line is difficult, IT is a people business so they cannot just take any steps," he concluded.
Ferry emphasized that when these three things had been fulfilled and felt confident with the business being undertaken, then your business could compete. (*)
