TRIBUNBATAM.id - Activities at Sekupang International Ferry Port, Batam City, Riau Islands Province seem quiet.

This is due to public concern, including foreign tourists to travel due to Corona virus outbreak.

TribunBatam.id observations, only a few visitors were seen.

A number of traders who used to sell at the port seemed empty.

"Yes, like this, sir, there are no visitors. You could count the number of visitors who come," said a prepaid package trader precisely at passenger arrival gate, Monday (9/3/2020).

The port authority previously said the decrease in some passengers was felt every day at this port.

If the number of passengers in one day can reach 2 to 3 thousand passengers, now the number can reach 800 to 900 people per day.

"The decline is up to 50 percent and more," said Public Relations of Sekupang International Ferry Port, Arif.

Arif said, the number of passengers on a trip was only 15 to 20 people.
