TRIBUNBATAM.id - The Anambas Regional Government appealed to the community to hold tarawih prayers at home during Ramadan 1441 Hijri, this year. Considering that the world is currently suffering from the Covid-19 pandemic.
Even so, the Anambas Regional Government has instructed them to keep their call to prayer in the mosque.
Anambas Islands Regent, Abdul Haris said, had sent a letter to all sub-district heads to tell their citizens to pray at home or if they wanted to pray in congregation at the mosque, they had to follow the health protocol procedure.
This refers to the highest instructions and personally, Haris is still afraid to strictly prohibit his citizens from praying in the mosque. However, he hopes that all stakeholders can jointly appeal to keep their distance.

"If people continue to perform tarawih prayers, they must follow the existing health protocols. I hope the congregation performs prayers at home," Haris said.
He feels grateful, that Anambas Islands Regency is still in the green zone or still in the safe category.
"We will continue to make efforts to disseminate and appeal to the community to remain at home unless it is urgent. Do not gather, and keep clean yourself and the environment," he concluded. (*)
