TRIBUNBATAM.id, BATAM - Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts the weather in Riau Islands has potential to rain with mild to moderate intensity.
That is due to the existence of wind-turning patterns and supported by wet humidity which causes the formation of rain clouds more significantly.
Meanwhile, the potential for high waves in Riau Islands waters averaged 1.25 meters.
"Wind speed in the Riau Islands starts from 5 to 30 kilometers per hour, with temperatures 23 to 30 degrees Celsius.
Also, 65 to 98 percent humidity," said Head of BMKG through Forecaster on duty BMKG Batam City, Aprilia S in a statement received by TribunBatam.id , Sunday (7/12/2020).
BMKG also revealed that surface sea surface velocity is predicted to reach 5 to 45 centimeters per second. (TribunBatam.id/Endra Kaputra)
