TRIBUNBATAM.id, BATAM - The spread of Covid-19, which is now increasingly widespread in Batam City, has made Barelang Police to aggressively implement health protocol discipline (Yustisi operation) to the people of Batam City.

Yustisi's operation activities involving the Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol) with the target community, motorbike riders who crossed the Galang Polsek, Bengkong Polsek, Sei Beduk Polsek, and Rear Padang Polsek.

From the results of Yustisi's operation, there were 80 community offenders who did not wear masks.

For the sanctions given, namely in the form of recording the identity of the offender.

Kapolresta Barelang AKBP Yos Guntur Yudi said the Yustisi operation was held as a form of the government's seriousness towards people who do not comply with health protocols.

"We do not hesitate to take action by imposing sanctions in the form of verbal, written and other social sanctions on the spot during the operation," Yos said, Friday (18/9/2020).

According to him, this was done so that people were aware of being disciplined to comply with health protocols when leaving the house and doing their daily activities.

"If Mayor of Batam Regulation No. 49/2020 for the implementation of discipline and enforcement of health protocol Law has been implemented, of course the sanctions will follow in accordance with Batam Mayor Regulation," he explained.

Not to forget, Yos also invited religious leaders, community leaders and community elements in Batam City to jointly remind their families, relatives and communities to comply with health protocols.
