TRIBUNBATAM.id, BATAM - Batam Center International Port is ready to accept Singapore citizens through the Travel Corridor Agreement (TCA) route.
A number of things, ranging from tightened health protocols, including immigration services in the port area are prepared to realize the agreement between the two countries on October 26, 2020.
This port is the entry point for Singaporean foreigners to enter Batam.
Access to the Singapore-Indonesia border has begun to be loosened with the launch of the Travel Corridor Agreement (TCA) for Indonesian citizens and Singaporean citizens.
The TCA, which Singapore calls the Reciprocal Green Lane (RGL), enables Singaporean Indonesians and foreigners to travel between Indonesia and Singapore for urgent business, diplomatic or official purposes starting October 26, 2020.

"When asked about readiness, we are ready, but it's still a long time," said Assistant Manager of Batam Center International Port, Sobri when met at the port, Tuesday (13/10/2020).
According to him, the schedule for ship sailing to and from Batam Center Port is still the same as several months earlier.
Namely three arrivals and three departures.
Shipping is still carried out alternately between agents providing ship transportation services, with an odd and even system.
"It's still the same, one trip to Malaysia, two trips to Tanah Merah," he said. (Tribunbatam.id/Hening Sekar Utami)
