The tomb of Sultan Murhum is in the Buton Palace Fort area.

This tomb building is a form of respect for the services of Sultan Muhrum during his life.

Sultan Murhum Qaimuddin Khalifatul Khamis, or Lakilaponto, is also known as the Sultan of Buton VI.

He was one of the most respected sultans.

Sultan Murhum became the first sultan and the last king, because the system of government that was originally a kingdom was changed to a sultanate.

As king, he reigned for 20 years, while as sultan for 26 years. 

4. The Great Mosque of the Sultanate of Buton

As previously stated, the Grand Mosque of the Sultanate of Buton is located within the Buton Palace Fort complex.

This mosque is a witness to the first entry of Islam into Baubau City.

The mosque, which was founded during the reign of Sultan Murhum, still functions as a place of worship for Muslims today.

The building of the Great Mosque of the Sultanate of Buton is full of meaning. 

5. Baadia Fort

Besides Buton Palace Fort, Baubau City still has another fort, namely Baadia Fort.

Based on information, this fort was built during the reign of the XXIX Sultan of Buton, namely Sultan Muhammad Idrus Kaimuddin I, around the period 1824-1851.

This fort has an area of about 4,389 square meters.
