TRIBUNBATAM.id - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) reported that an earthquake measuring 5.5 magnitude rocked the Jakarta area and its surroundings.
The epicenter of the earthquake was 26 km southwest of Bayah, Banten.
"26 km southwest of Bayah-Banten," tweeted the BMKG via Twitter, Sunday (9/10).
The earthquake was reported to have occurred at 17.02 WIB.
The earthquake had a depth of 12 kilometers.

"It feels 3-5 seconds from moving a little until it really shakes," said Surya Sumirat, a resident of Kelapa Dua, Tangerang, Sunday (10/9).
