Asked About Ex-Officio, Mayor Rudi: Let's Work, Instead of Giving Promises

Muhammad Rudi, did not want to comment on the implementation of ex-officio Mayor. He said just work and won't giving any promises. Here are his words.

TRIBUNBATAM.id - Mayor of Batam, Muhammad Rudi, did not want to comment on the implementation of ex-officio Mayor, Head of Business Entity called Badan Pengusahaan (BP).

Previously, information related to signing of Draft Government Regulation (RPP) Amendment to Government Regulation (PP) 46 of 2007 concerning Free Trade Zone and Free Port (KPBPB) of Batam.

The signing of determination by Batam Mayor as ex officio, was delivered directly by Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs through Secretary of Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs Susiwijono Moegiarso.

However, despite this information being circulated widely, Batam Mayor Muhammad Rudi was reluctant to comment.

"Don't talk about Ex Officio. Won't giving any promises," said Rudi, Monday (09/16/2019) on the sidelines of cleaning activities at Sultan Mahmud Riayat Syah Mosque.

Rudi, said that he did not want to be dizzy and did not want to think about ex officio.

"Let's just work, let this problem be concern for center government," said Rudi.

In the same place, Vice Mayor of Batam, Amsakar Ahmad said, he had received information that President of Republic of Indonesia Jokowi had signed the determination of Batam Mayor, as ex officio.

"It was on Friday (9/13/2019). The speaker was Secretary Coordinating Ministry of Economic Affairs Susiwijono Moegiarso," Amsakar said.

Amsakar admitted that until now there was no preparation or anything like that, after this information was accept.

"Actually, this is not my realm. But until now there has not been any preparation. Information on the determination also does not exist. But if it is concerning the sign, we already know," Amsakar said. (Tribunbatam.id/Ian Sitanggang)
