TRIBUNBATAM.id - As a result of worsening air conditions due to the haze, schools at three regions in West Sumatra take their students off.
The Government of Dharmasraya Regency get the first issued of that policy.
Starting from Early childhood education programs (Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini) students to the High schools were off through the policy of the Regent of Sutan Riska Tuanku kerajaan on 17-19 September.
Then the holiday was extended until now, Saturday (9/21/2019) it's because of the air conditions still not getting better.
After Dharmasraya, two other regions together issued a policy for take their students off, namely Sawahlunto and Sijunjung.
The two regions take their students off on September 20-21 with the same reason, that is smog haze.
Previously it was reported that the West Sumatra Provincial Government (Pemprov) had issued a circular on September 12 to stop the outdoor activities for students throughout West Sumatra.
The letter, that signed by the Deputy Governor, Nasrul Abit, came out because the air condition in West Sumatra was getting worse.
According to Nasrul Abit, the air condition getting worsened due to the shipment of fumes from neighboring regions such as Riau and Jambi. (*)
