Two Victims of Twin Otter Plane Identified Through The Tooth and Marriage Ring

TRIBUNBATAM.id -  Polri's Disaster Victim Identification (DVI) Team succeeded in identifying two victims of DHC6-400 Twin Otter Aircraft accident with the PK-CDC registration number owned by PT Carpediem Aviasi Mandiri in Papua, Thursday (9/26/2019). 

Both of them, Dasep Sobirin Ishak as a Pilot, and Bharada Hadi Utomo who were the passengers on the plane. 

Bharada Hadi is a member of Regiment II of the Police Brigade Corps Pioneer who is part of the Nemangkawi Task Force. 

He was tasked for securing in Ilaga, Puncak District.

The process of identification of the victims involved the Division of Health Doctors (Biddokkes) of the Papua Regional Police, Riau Regional Police, Pusdokkes Polri, Inafis Mimika Regional Police and the Nemangkawi Task Force. 

Identification and reconciliation were carried out at the Body Room of Mimika Regional Hospital, on Wednesday. 

The process lasts for 6 hours from 15:00 WIT until 21:00 WIT. 

Both bodies have been submitted to the family representative. 

Senior Commissioner Pol Agustinus Mulyanto Hardi said, of the 4 body bags that received, there were 6 body parts.

Bharada Hadi's body was identified through the dental examination, which is a primary identification tool and fingerprint. 

So it's very sufficient to determine the identification process that the body is indeed Bharada Hadi Utomo. Coupled with existing property.

Another body part was found and being identified as Dasep Sobirin Ishak, the pilot of the aircraft. 

"The Dasep pilot's body was identified, from fingerprints and property that has a strong value, that is the wedding ring," said Agustinus.

Meanwhile, two victims haven't yet been identified, namely co-pilot Yudra Tetuko and the mechanic, Ujang Suhendra.

This is due to the lack of comparative data to carry out the identification process, so the DNA testing will be carried out on the victim's body and family.
