Australian Students Visit Tribun Batam, Enthusiastic of Studying the Newspaper Printing Process
Six students of La Trobe University of Melbourne, Australia, looked enthusiastic when visiting the editorial of the Tribun Batam, Friday (4/10).
TRIBUNBATAM.id, BATAM - Six students of La Trobe University of Melbourne, Australia looked enthusiastic when visiting the editorial of the Tribun Batam in Batu Ampar, Batam, Friday (4/10). They were quite active while asking about the process and publication of the Tribun Batam Daily Newspaper.
At Tribun Batam, the students had a direct dialogue with the editorial crew, among them, Coverage Coordinator of Tribun Batam, Thomas T Limahekin, accompanied by the editor also, Septyan Mulia Rohman.
Guided by Lusia Efriani Kiroyan from the Foundation of Cinderella from Indonesia Center, they got a lot of information related to the process of making the newspapers till the printing process.
The six students, those who are taking part in the Cross Culture program in Batam. While in Batam, they have an agenda that organized in a program called Friends of Kepri (Sahabat Kepri). Previously, they visited and had the dialogues with the students at Riau Islands University or called Unrika, Batuaji, Batam.

While in Batam, these students were placed together with their Host Family in Batam. The presence of this Melbourne Australia student in Batam was driven by the Cinderella Foundation from Indonesia Center. Their activity took place from 30 September to 6 October.
The student from La Trobe University, Melbourne, Australia was invited to a Cross Culture program to study about the Muslim culture that is thick in Malay land. The six international students who took the education in that college, evidently chose the Indonesian Language as their major. The Friends of Kepri (Sahabat Kepri) program has its own mission in organizing this activities. The students was also introduced to a various Indonesian culinary delights.

During a casual chat session with the reporters from the Tribun Batam, the six students were enthusiastic to sharing about what food that they liked.
There are Rendang, Meatballs, and Fried Noodles, which are enter to their favorite menu list.
They also conveyed about the impression, after getting the dialogue with the students of Unrika, there were lot of students who wanted to take photos with them like an artist. (lia)
