Toyota HiAce Premio Arrives in Batam, How It's Advantage?
Toyota-Astra Motor launches new product of HiAce Premio. HiAce itself is global Toyota product whose first generation of vehicle was launched in 1967.
TRIBUNBATAM.id - Toyota-Astra Motor (TAM) launches HiAce Premio to complete VanToyota commercial segment.
HiAce Premio is presented to fill premium market, with vehicles that can provide pleasant experience for consumers.
Agung Toyota Batam Branch Manager, Yunus Arif Prabowo said that for Batam because it was dominated by tourism sector, crowded HiAce unit was used from HiAce Commuter and Premio.

"Actually, for HiAce, there are three types namely Standart, Commuter and Premio. But because transportation business in Batam is widely used for tourism, so the units marketed here are only Premio and Commuter, "he said, Sunday (10/13/2019).
Meanwhile, Marketing Director of PT Toyota-Astra Motor, Anton Jimmi Suwandy, said that commercial vehicle market for transporting passengers is projected to increase, in line with government's success for increasing infrastructure networks that have driven growth of various economic sectors rapidly, including in tourism sector.
"This success is driving the growth of commercial vehicle market for passenger transportation such as commercial van segment and this is our goal to complete the choice of HiAce model with additional Premio variants," he said.
HiAce itself is global Toyota product whose first generation was launched in 1967 as a vehicle for cargo or transportation of goods.
In Indonesia, HiAce was marketed on 2012 with sales in the first year reaching 560 units with 47% market share, and now the figure has risen to more than 7 times with market share of around 98.1%.
HiAce Premio is Toyota commercial van that carries innovation of transformation by transportation cargo concept from its emergence to comfortable human transporter.
HiAce Premio's design is based on the concept of luxury and robust, Robust-Luxury which makes HiAcePremio appear much more modern and quieter than commuter variant.
Dimensionally, HiAcePremio is also much bigger so the cabin is much more spacious and comfortable with cabin designed to hold 12 passenger seats.
HiAcePremio also adopts IMT (Intelligent Manual Transmission) technology which functions to improve control while reducing noise in the cabin.
Active safety features used in 70 liter tank cars include Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) which will automatically limit the drive train output and selective braking to individual wheels if the vehicle experiences understeer or oversteer.
This car also uses Hill-StartAsist (HSA), which functions to prevent the vehicle from backing out of control, when parking or starting trip on a hiking track and using Anti-lock Braking System (ABS).
To maintain driver and passenger safety of an accident, HiAce Premio also features passive safety features such as 3-point seatbelts in all seats and Dual SRS airbags.
