Gramedia Launches Gramedia Go, Make It Easy for Customers to Buy Books

TRIBUNBATAM.id - PT Gramedia Asri Media (Gramedia) comeback to innovates by presenting Gramedia Go service.

Applying the omni channel strategy, Gramedia Go make it easy for people who want to shop for books on Gramedia both online and offline.

"Often we want to buy new books that are released in Jakarta. For example, in Lombok, are promised two weeks, but other friends have discussed new books again, it happened, and so the beginning of why there is this," said Victorinus Sugiarto - Operation and Tenant Management of PT Gramedia Asri Media during Gramedia Go Launch event at Cozyfield, Pondok Indah Mall on Monday (10/14).

There are two services from Gramedia Go, Pick Up in Store and Order From Store.

Pick Up in Store is a service for customers who have placed an order on the website or the gramedia.com application can pick up the order book according to the choice of Gramedia store that they have chosen.

Pick Up in Store service makes it easy for customers to not have to queue for long time when paying.

However, this service has only been implemented at Matraman Gramedia Store, in the future it is expected be able to be implemented at all Gramedia Stores in Indonesia.

Whereas the Order From Store service is that customers can place orders directly at the store.

Later the book will be sent directly to customer's address.

This service is available at all Gramedia in Indonesia.

This service certainly makes it easy for customers who run out of books they want at Gramedia Store in their area.

"Delivery cost is free for now until 31 October 2019," said Victorinus Sugiarto.

Victorinus explained that not yet a month Gramedia Go has been running, there are around 2,000 orders in Gramedia Go.

"The first most order Karawaci, second Botany Bogor and for outside Java, the most is Padang," explained Victorinus.

It is also possible that in the future Gramedia Go will serve orders for non-books.

But Victorinus explained that it would still be sorted out which non-books could be ordered with Gramedia Go going forward.

"Books and non-books are selling 50:50, but the acceleration of non-books is getting higher, it could be mistakes because of the obstacles we reach to regions, the speed we reach to regions for our penetration in this regions is quite low. We have only opened in provincial capital of the region while second-level areas have not, "explained Victorinus.

It is expected that with Gramedia Go there will be many partners in the region, who will join upcoming service community of Gramedia Go. With the increasing number of Community members at Gramedia Go it is hoped to be able to reduce the existing literacy gap.

"There are many bookstores in the area, but the collection is not this much. So we can invite them to be a Community, so we have the same collection and make it easier for them to sell. And hopefully the literacy gap will be small," he explained.
