TRIBUNBATAM.id - In order to restructure Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Welcome To Batam (WTB), Industry and Trade Department (Disperindag) of Batam City in collaboration with OK OCE.
Head of Batam City Industry and Trade Department, Gustian Riau said he had met with representatives from OK OCE on Monday (10/21/2019).
"We want to develop this WTB into more organized culinary place," Gustian said to Tribun, Tuesday (10/22/2019).

Along with government's program to make Batam a tourist city, Gustian hopes that this WTB can become culinary tourism center that will eventually attract foreign tourists.
"If frankly the conditions cannot be said to be the center of culinary tourism, we must improve and we will develop street vendors together to meet international culinary tourism standards," he said.
Starting with the grand opening of colorful culinary village for Batam UMKM which was inaugurated by Mayor of Batam, Muhammad Rudi some time ago.
OK OCE program to make MSMEs get a grade is appreciated by Batam City Government.
Even Gustian, who was also present at the grand opening, immediately had an idea to develop the land known as WTB.
He saw that there were many MSMEs that needed attention in order to improve their quality and opinions.
"With the traders we met about 2 weeks ago at WTB," Gustian said.
Meanwhile, Kornas OK OCE, Ilyas also welcomed and accepted the challenges presented by Gustian.
OK OCE team is helping WTB structuring program.
"We will convey the concept of smart city to Government starting with this WTB, where our mission for SMEs Go Digital and Go Global is very similar to this government program," said Ilyas.
"We are grateful that Mayor and ranks have actually an agenda for the development of MSMEs before and this is very much in line with our programs," he said.
He added, WTB would later be transformed into a culinary tourism center and also a souvenir center.
