Wait for Ministry of Finance Signal

Batam Business Entity (BP) ensures that it will establish cooperation with consortium of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Pelindo) I, Pelindo II and PT Persero Batam, in managing and developing Batuampar Port.

Leading cooperation sector, as is well known in PT Pelindo II.

It's just that, it is still waiting for a signal from Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) RI for its realization.

"(Cooperation) is still positive, all the documents remain," Purwiyanto said, Saturday (10/26) at BP Batam.

He hopes the licensing process and others can run parallel.

Currently still in the contract preparation stage.

"This is a positive step. It will be more flexible if there is a BUP (Port Business Entity). So it can provide good services to the community," he said.

BP Batam's Business Sector Member, Syahril Japarin added, regarding what kind of cooperation BP Batam will do with the consortium company, is still looking forward to planning.

Depending on the understanding between Pelindo II and BP Batam.

"We are also considering the present condition. We hope that the existing business runs normally," Syahril said.

The big hope is the management of Batuampar Port in the future will be more modern and integrated.
