BP Batam Promotes Latest Version of OSS, Manage Investment Licenses More Easily
BP Batam together with Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) held an Online Single Submission (OSS) application socialization version 1.1 in Batam.
TRIBUNBATAM.id - Directorate of One-Stop Integrated Services (PTSP) of Batam Business Entity (BP) together with Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) held an Online Single Submission (OSS) application socialization version 1.1, Tuesday (10/29/2019) at Pasific Palace Hotel Grand Ballroom Batam.
The activity was attended by more than two hundred business operators in Batam as direct users of OSS application.
BP Batam Area and Investment Management Member Sudirman Saad said, the launch of OSS application was a reference for the steps in realizing investment in Batam Island.

No less important is BP Batam's opportunity to communicate with businesses.
"There will be a change in policy that is being processed and is expected to cut licensing which is an administrative obstacle," said Sudirman, in BP Batam Public Relations release received by Tribun.
According to him, BP Batam's performance indicators are not measured by how much income is generated from the land, but rather how much investment is realized.

"Simplification will provide target for us in the form of improving Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) ranking, which is an index made by World Bank," said Dendy.
He said, EoDB ranking in 2020 released by World Bank noted that Indonesia remained ranked 73 with a score of 69.6 points.
In ASEAN region, Indonesia's EoDB score is below Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Brunei Darussalam and Vietnam, and above Philippines, Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar.
"Indeed, in the last three years, Indonesia has increased by 33 ratings, but there are still things we must pursue. It is like, we have tried to run. But our competitors have sprinted. So that we look like a road in place, when in fact we are moving forward, "he said.
Dendy added, from 190 investment cases handled by Working Group IV of Coordinating Ministry for Economy, the main investment inhibiting factors were licensing (32.6%), land acquisition (17.3%), and policy regulation (15.2%).
Therefore, OSS will remove the recommendation, issue a location permit through an Online Single Submission, with Business Identification Number for business actors that also functions as a substitute for TDP, API, and Customs Access Rights.
Meanwhile, according to BKPM data, OSS system was registered to more than 781,000 users in July 2018-September 2019, and served two types of business actors, namely individuals (38.82%) and non-individuals (61.18%).
With the type of investment, namely PMDN (95.62%) and PMA (4.38%), also Non MSME business scale (27.05%) and MSME (72.95%).
Some changes as form for development of OSS version 1.0 with version 1.1 in general include adjusting business processes, adding data elements, changing database designs and displaying changes to business processes.
Quoted from the official OSS website, version 1.1 will be implemented as of November 4, 2019 as substitute for OSS version 1.0 which is currently used by stakeholders in Indonesia.
