Foreigners Who Involved in Drug Cases Instantly Blocked For Lifetime

TRIBUNBATAM.id - Throughout 2019, Class II Immigration Office of Tanjungbalai Karimun has deported 9 foreigners.
Seven of them are Malaysians, while the other two are Singaporeans.

Irvin explained, there were several reasons for his side to transport foreigners.
Of the nine foreigners, two Malaysians are former drug convicts at Tanjungbalai Karimun State Detention Center.
"Both of them have finished their sentence in August. If for drug cases this is usually banned (entered Indonesia) for life. Unless there are new facts. But that is the authority of Directorate," explained Irvin.
Subsequently two Malaysians and two Singaporeans were deported for overstaying.
Then the other three were deported for disturbing public order or not complying with the applicable laws in Indonesian State.
Irvin admitted, some of foreigners who were deported in 2019 far decreased compared to previous years.
"It has declined considerably. Either because Karimun's condition is indeed quiet or the approach we have taken has been successful. So that foreign citizens are no longer violating the law," he said.
