Sriwijaya Air Canceled Some Flights, Including From Batam

TRIBUNBATAM.id - A number of Sriwijaya Air flights were canceled for no apparent reason.

This cancellation leaves potential Sriwijaya Air passengers displaced on Thursday (7/11).

From the observation of Kompas.com at Tangerang Soekarno-Hatta Airport, passengers who were already in the waiting room huddled in front of the officers' desk to get clarity.

The seats in the waiting room also looked full because of the piling up of passengers.

Among them, some chose to sit in the hallway leading to the waiting room.

Krisna (78) claimed to have been at 06:15 WIB at Soekarno-Hatta Airport.

He got a flight schedule at 07.00 WIB to Lampung.

"I was told that my child had a flight at 09.15, but he called again when the plane became 7 o'clock. I walked half-five from Pasar Minggu, until now (not yet leaving)," said this retired lecturer.

Krisna claimed not to get definite answer from the officer regarding the cancellation of flight.

By the officer, he was asked to keep waiting because there were planes from other routes that would be diverted to Lampung.

"There has never been a definite answer. We ask for sure, the answer is hopefully could. There is a plane from Yogya, Lubuk Linggau (forwarded to Lampung) but not yet," Krisna said.

When his flight was delayed, he said, officers only gave him food and mineral water.

After more than five hours, he also received compensation of IDR 300,000 which could only be taken a week after.

The same thing was conveyed by Nasrul Utama.

He had expressed his emotions to airport officials over the cancellation of flight to Malang.
