Ad-interim Governor of the Riau Islands, Isdianto Set the UMK Batam 2020 to Rp 4,130,279

The governor can set district / city minimum wages, and according to the provisions of Article 89 Paragraph (3) of Law Number 13 Year 2003 concerning manpower.

The minimum wage is determined by the Governor by taking into account the recommendations of the Provincial Wage Board and / or the Regent / Mayor. 

B. Based on Permenaker No. 15 of 2018, Article 11 paragraph (5), UMK is stipulated, and announced by the Governor no later than 21 November with the governor's decision.

C. That in order to follow up on the recommendation from the Regent / Mayor of the Riau Islands regarding the proposal for setting a regency / city minimum wage in 2020, the Riau Islands Province Wage Council has held a discussion meeting. That is : 

1. Thursday, November 15, 2019 at the 6th floor meeting room of the Graha Kepri Building, Batam City, discussing the determination of Regent / Mayor proposals related to the 2020 UMK value for Anambas UMK, Natuna UMK, Lingga UMK, Karimun UMK, Tanjungpinang UMK and Bintan UMK .

2. Friday, 18 November 2019 at the 5th floor meeting room of the Graha Kepri Building, Batam City, discussing the determination of the Mayor's proposal related to the 2020 UMK value for the Batam UMK.

D. Based on the results of a meeting of the Riau Islands Province Wage Board as referred to in point (2) above, the Governor of the Riau Islands has issued a Governor's Decree concerning the stipulation of UMK 2020. 

1. UMK Natuna is stipulated through Governor Decree No. 1041 2019 on November 21, 2019, amounting to Rp. 3,106,975 - / month.

2. Lingga UMK is determined through Governor Decree No. 1042 2019 on November 21 2019, amounting to Rp. 3,036,220, - / month.

3. UMK Bintan is determined through Governor's Decree No. 1043 2019 on November 21, 2019, amounting to Rp. 3,648,714, - / month.

4. UMK Karimun is determined by Governor Decree No. 1044 2019 on November 21 2019, amounting to Rp. 3,335,902 / month.

5. Anambas UMK is determined through Governor Decree No. 1045 of 2017 on November 21, 2019, amounting to Rp. 3,501,441 / month. 

6. UMK Tanjungpinang is determined by Governor Decree No. 1046 2019 on November 21 2019, amounting to Rp. 3,006,999 / month.

7. Batam UMK is determined through Governor's Decree No. 1047 of 2017 on November 21, 2019, amounting to Rp. 4,130,279, - / month. 

E. The UMKs, as referred to in item 3 (three) above, apply only to workers who have a working period of less than 1 year, whereas for those above 1 year, it is conducted through deliberations, and negotiations between Workers / Trade Unions / Trade unions with employers, as well as possible, and set forth in the provisions of the structure, and the scale of wages to apply in the company.
