13 Students and 5 Teachers of Batam Pelita Utama School Join Exchange Program to Philippines
Batam Pelita Utama School will participate student and teacher exchange programs at FEU Cavite, Philippines. They sending 13 students and 5 teachers.
TRIBUNBATAM.id - 13 students and 5 teachers at Batam Pelita Utama School will take part in student and teacher exchange programs at FEU Cavite, Philippines.
This was revealed through symbolic handover ceremony in the form of pocket money and plane tickets by Lily as the Chairperson of Cahaya Pelita Utama Foundation on November 25, 2019 at Pelita Utama School Hall.
Students consist of 3 high school students and 10 junior high students.
While the teacher consists of an expatriate teacher as the coordinator and 4 local teachers for the kindergarten, elementary, junior high and high school level.
The exchange of students and teachers will take times over a week from 9 to 15 December 2019.
"This activity was held in order to establish cooperation for managing education to organize SPK (Educational Cooperation Unit) in accordance with Minister of Education Regulation on 2014," said Maizon Jabar as School Director of Pelita Utama School, Monday (11/25/2019).

Beside that, the activity also aims to improve quality of education and introduce Indonesian culture to international.
Students and teachers who take part in this activity are those who excel and pass the test and interview stages.
The plan is, all student and teacher exchange activities will take place every year.
In February 2020, FEU Cavite Philippines students and teachers will also hold teacher and student exchanges to Pelita Utama Schools.
Representing Principal of Pelita Utama High School, Sri Nurmi hopes that through this activity students can add experience and expertise, and can be accepted in international environment. (*)
