BNNP Kepri Destroyed Methamphetamine and Ecstasy that Failed to be Sent to Tembilahan, Riau Province

The National Narcotics Department (BNN) of the Riau Islands Province (Kepri) again destroyed the evidence of narcotic and ecstasy drug types.

TRIBUNBATAM.id, BATAM - The National Narcotics Department (BNN) of the Riau Islands Province (Kepri) again destroyed the evidence of narcotic and ecstasy drug types.

Drug extermination was carried out in front of the Riau Islands National Narcotics Office, Jl. Hang Jebat KM.3, Batu Besar Village, Nongsa District, Batam City on Wednesday (12/04/2019).

The evidence that was destroyed, was the result of the disclosure of the suspect initials 'H', worked as a private employee, and was secured in Tanjung Sengkuang on 3 November 2019. 

The suspect was arrested while trying to deliver illicit goods using a speedboat to his destination.

From the suspect's hand secured as much as 3022.19 grams of methamphetamine evidence and 8984 ecstasy pills.

"From the evidence of narcotic drugs of 3022.19 grams, methamphetamine was set aside 1620 grams for examination in the laboratory, the rest was destroyed, while 8984 ecstasy items were set aside, 207 items were for examination, while the rest were destroyed," said the Chief of BNNP Kepri, Brig. Gen. Richard Nainggolan.

He also revealed that the methamphetamine and ecstasy drugs were planned to be taken by the perpetrators to Tembilahan, Riau Province.

"Based on the suspect's confession, the goods are from Malaysia and will be taken to Tembilahan," he said. 

The perpetrators were promised to be paid Rp. 75 million if successfully delivering these two types of drugs. 

The Chief of BNNP Kepri said, based on the perpetrators' recognition, the action that he carried out was the first time he had done it.

In this annihilation activity, there were also present Director of Airport Business Entity of Batam Hang Nadim Airport, then the Director of Drug Investigation of Kepri Regional Police, Batam City District Attorney's Office representatives, District Court representatives and other relevant agencies.
